Freehold man arrested on drug charges Posted by the Asbury Park Press on 01/8/07 BY MICHELLE SAHN STAFF WRITER FREEHOLD — Police arrested a borough man after two baggies containing drugs fell from his pants, authorities said. Joel Benitez, 22, of Third Street was charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute, resisting arrest, and obstructing the administration of law. Around 3 p.m. Sunday, Officer John Reiff was on patrol on Orchard Street when he saw several people who appeared to be arguing, said Lt. Mark Wodell. When Reiff pulled up, Benitez ran away, but police quickly caught up to him, said Wodell. During the investigation, two plastic bags fell from Benitez's pants, said Wodell. Police said both bags contained white substances -- one was believed to contain powder cocaine, and the other was believed to contain crack cocaine. www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070108/NEWS/70108016
