What ever happened in that restaurant matter?
P.s. here is what was discussed on nj.com on that matter. It appears that there was some discussion about this website there. (Specifically, see 2389.2.2)

yes, that was the specific post.
And BTW, I am aware of what happened to the restaurant. I am wondering what else happened as it looked like more should have happened...

Kevin Kane is the new liaison to the BOH for 2007.
At my last meeting, we were waiting for Kerry Higgins to increase the Health Ordinance fines (Council will soon pass this).
A protocol was established, so that better, future "point guarding" (nothing gets overlooked) can take place when unusual situations like this take place. Kerry Higgins will offer the training to staff (what to look for & what to do).
The F.T. Health Department was "reminded" that they have more authority in these matters than they might have recognized (w/ regard to seizing & embargoing food, equipment, receipts and alcohol, I believe).
As for zoning and other similar codes that were violated, we are told by the courts that the statute of limitations has NOT run out yet, so I am hoping these will be pursued. The BOH and I believe they should be.
ABC action is still up in the air, because they required more upfront surveillance and had other pre-conditions. I am not sure what, if anything, they will do. Again, next time we know how and when to involve them.
In my honest opinion, I hope that EVERYONE, involved, learned important lesons from this situation and that there will be better coordination and better results if this kind of situation repeats, itself. I hope that more penalties can be distributed in this case, but I am still pleased that the illegal restaurant was found and shut down. I'm sure that the police officer had alot to answer for to his chief and he will think twice about getting caught for something this ridiculous again.
As an aside, I am now told that the officer/landlord admitted to knowing what was going on at his property, but didn't know how to stop it? Come on. A Cop didn't know what to do or who to call? I was born at night, but I wasn't born last night.

I saw this post as well, and since it has been brought up here, allow me to set the record straight. Clearly this is for the good of the crackpot who wrote the post on NJ.com
2389.2.2. Was reading the Freehold posts by freehld11, 10/17/06 12:24 ET Re: SO YOU CANT INVEST IN... AMERICA by fish2k, 10/17/06 Looks like there was a good old fashion book burning yesterday. The moderator of the Freehold Voice copied your post from NJ.COM and pasted it into theirs for their forum viewers to see. It was then deleted by the moderator after being told to by the committeemen of PEOPLE. There was one post I deleted from that site, which I had posted here. I did leave the link for viewers to go to if they cared, so it was not totally taken off. This action was due to the fact that I recieved complaints from our participants on this site, not because of any preasure from "committeemen."
Before deleting your post they had to post the usual insults. Rather then defend their position they simply deleted the post. It must be a nice cozy bubble over there and they definitely don’t want their forum viewers to see another point of view. I have to agree with you now since it seems that there is something "strange" going on over there.
There were no insults thrown on that thread, just typical back and forth discussion. Again, the post was not totally deleted. If the truth is strange, then this site is guilty. This forum over all has remainded open and honest. Yes, some occasional mistakes are made, but nothing to consider a problem of any kind. And of course, this site is open to the opinions of Freehold residents. No person has EVER been deleted for having a differing point of view. Just the opposite, when some of us have sought the point of view from participants who think differently than the rest of us, we often find Silence. That is sad.
The author of the Nj.com post really did put a spin on what occered, and that does include lies, likely for the purpose of making a feeble attempt at discrediting this site and it's participants.
