I know summer is winding down, but if you still plan on buying one of those new inflatable pools being sold at stores like Walmart for around $100, be aware that UCC codes require them to have a permit. Yup, they are treated like their slightly larger above ground pool cousins.
Fines for these pools can amount to $2000 and the appeal process rests with the COUNTY board. Several people around town have received such fines, of late.
I'm just hearing about this and thought I'd pass it along to avoid headaches. Please pass the word around town and remember it for next year.

I figured I would write something here to again highlight this topic. I have found out about people who have received fines for these pools. The reason for the fines is related to the filter pumps that these pools use.
This issue is a good example of why home owners and citizens need to be careful. It is important to know the local ordinances.
