Perhaps, what is most important here is that the AP Press assigned Nick Petruncio, a fellow Syracuse University Alumnus, as regular reporter for Freehold Borough. Maybe, we'll get more regular coverage and POSITIVE STUFF, I hope.

Freehold OKs purchase of police, fire department vehicles Posted by the Asbury Park Press on 12/30/06 BY NICK PETRUNCIO FREEHOLD BUREAU
FREEHOLD — The Borough Council approved vehicle purchases for the police and fire departments at a special meeting Thursday.
The council unanimously accepted the donation of a 1999 Chevrolet 2500 Half Ton pickup truck by New Jersey Natural Gas Co.
The truck, which has 155,000 miles on it, will be assigned to the first assistant fire chief and ultimately become the fire police vehicle once the chief gets a new vehicle.
When that happens, the 1989 Ford Bronco currently used for fire police purposes will be retired from the municipal fleet within 60 days.
The council also approved the purchase of a police vehicle, which will replace one in the department's fleet.
The vehicle will be purchased for $21,832.04 from Warnock Automotive Inc. of East Hanover.
In other business, the council approved a dental insurance plan for police and nonpolice employees.
