Saw Bruce last night at the Verizon center in Washington DC. He and the band were excellent. The show was surprisingly short -- compared to his historical efforts.
His new album is very good.
He played a terrific version of No Surrender as the second song of the night.
I was compelled to yell shut up and sing a few times (as if he could here me). But he did a great show, and let's face it -- he has every right to voice his political opinions. And since I paid for the privilege to hear them -- who am I to complain.
Surprise song of the night? Kitty's Back.
Show was sorely missing Jungleland and Thunder Road. I have also been waiting since about 1981 to hear Backstreets in Concert.
Final thought -- would love to hear some more of The River in his shows.
Anyway -- for my wife and I -- a couple of Borough kids, we were starry-eyed all night. (This morning, I can't hear a thing!)

Unfortunately I missed Bruce this time around...I have only seen him once in my lifetime, down in Philly several years ago. It was interesting...I never realized what a good guitar player he was until I saw him live.
Of course, when I went to see him, he wasn't nearly as outspoken politically as he is now...I guess he was alright with what was going on in the Clinton White House.
Anytime you go see him and don't get to hear Thunder Road you should feel cheated...by far that is my favorite song by him. But...there are plenty more classics that are always great to hear.

One of my favorite songs whether from the album or live and acoustic.
