Springsteen, E Street Band, plan two shows from Asbury Park by Jay Lustig Wednesday September 19, 2007, 11:24 AM Once again, Bruce Springsteen is offering greetings from Asbury Park. He officially opens his upcoming tour Oct. 2 in Hartford. But, as he often does, he has scheduled pre-tour, open-to-the-public "rehearsals." The shows - his first with the E Street Band since 2004 - will take place at Convention Hall, on the Asbury boardwalk, Monday and Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets, priced at $100, go on sale at 9 a.m. tomorrow through Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone only (201-507-8900). There is a limit of two tickets per person, per show.
Though the shows are billed as reheasals, they will likely be more-or-less equivalent to the concerts that are officially part of the tour. The shows are also billed as benefits, though the charities were not immediately announced. Springsteen releases his new album, "Magic," on Oct. 2, and also performs at the Meadowlands, Oct. 9-10, and Madison Square Garden, Oct. 17-18. www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2007/09/springsteen_e_street_band_retu.html

It would be awesome if he did another Freehold Borough Only concert. It's been almost 11 since "Freehold Night" in November of '96 It would give our town a needed boost and show everyone whose town Freehold Borough REALLY IS - HIS!!!

Carlos or whomever he really is, just happens to be right about Bruce's 1996 benefit concert. It WAS for the new St. Rose of Lima Hispanic Center. We should all know this. But, this has nothing to do with my point that Freehold Borough is HIS town, just as Hoboken is and will always be Frank Sinatra's town.
The concert was for Freehold Borough Residents, only. I attended that concert and it celebrated Freehold's memorable past and Bruce's hometown connection. The money raised may have gone to Saint Rose, but the spirit of Freehold Borough stayed in the room.
As for Bruce hiring day laborers to work at his farm. Who knows?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPRINGSTEEN IN NEW JERSEY - SURPRISE SHOW
Bruce Springsteen performed in Freehold last friday. It was a benefit show for the Hispanic community of his hometown Freehold, New Jersey. It was was announced just a few days prior to the show, and 1,300 tickets were available only to Freehold Boro Residents. The performance took place at the gym of St.Rose of Lima School (which Bruce attended when he was young). With help from Patti Scialfa (vocals) and Soozie Tyrell (violin) Bruce delivered the best performance on this tour yet, with surprising new additions to the set list. It was a very special show. Look at the set list:
St. Rose of Lima School Gymnasium, Freehold, New Jersey, Nov.8th 1996 The River Adam Raised a Cain Straight Time Highway 29 Darkness Johnny 99 Mansion on the Hill The Wish Red Headed Woman Two Hearts When You're Alone Open All Night Used Cars Born in the USA The Ghost of Tom Joad Sinaloa Cowboys The Line Balboa Park Across the Border ---- Growing Up This Hard Land My Hometown --- Racing in the Street The Promised Land In Freehold

Okay Carlos--
Your first ENGLISH lesson.
It's "which" not "witch."
It's listen "TO" this song.
You have to capitalize all first letters of each sentence.
"1" is written out. Any numbers before 10 are spelled out, not enumerated.
Inmigrant should be "Immigrant." And community has two m's in it. I thought you knew how to spell "immigrant" correctly as you already have in the past. There's no excuse for that. You need to proofread everything you write on here. Anything less is abysmal and I'm not going to waste my time reading it.
