Sidney Blacknall was a left-handed pitcher who played on three high school championship teams in North Carolina and now resides in Freehold Borough, New Jersey.
Blacknall played for the Riley Tigers and for the House of David''s in the Negro Leagues and was a teammate of the legendary Satchel Paige. He also served in the Korean War and, while playing in the service, injured his arm and was forced to retire after four months of rehabilitation. Blacknall was inducted into the Negro League Hall of Fame in 1999.
