Too bad someone did not get this info to this site earlier. Putting this info here could have and would have helped get more people to this event to support our schools.
That is one of the many advantages of this site, one that all our residents would be wise to take advantage of. We do have hundreds of readers.

I will try to do a better job of posting events such as this here on the site in the future.

I am just reminding readers that this site does offer free and easy advertising for all of Freehold. It is not a bad idea for people to take advantage of that. I know that this site has helped get people to events including fund raisers.

Andrew,
It sounds as though you've got plenty to do these days. Let the PTO do their own notification of PTO events. In all the years I was on the PTO of the elementary and middle schools in the Borough, we did exactly that. I would never dream of asking a Board member to do our work. We contacted the local newspapers, both before to announce an event, and afterward to tout it again if there was something such as an award involved or some other form of good press. When our Future Problem Solvers in the sixth grade traveled to the University of Connecticut and placed seventh overall in the *world* competition, you can bet my dialing fingers were quite busy. This site was not in existence at the time, or else I personally would have covered that base as well...for any event.
If anyone dropped the ball on this one, it is the PTO, not a Board of Education member or anyone else. Their PR is not your job/responsibility. Hopefully these days they have a system set up to cover all bases for their events, such as a PR committee.
