How much did this clever legisaltion cost us, what a waist of time!!! They NEED to legislate teaching about National Holidays
GOV. EXPECTED TO SIGN Senate moves bill on teaching holidays Posted by the Asbury Park Press on 02/6/07 TRENTON: Schools would have to continue teaching about Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Presidents Day and Columbus Day under revised legislation that passed the Legislature.
The Senate voted 40-0 on Monday to pass the bill redone after Gov. Corzine conditionally vetoed it last month, objecting to the deletion of a 1967 state law requiring schools teach about the holidays. The Assembly approved the revamped bill last week, and Corzine is expected to sign it into law.
