what about public property, what's the law?
There are signs on Throckmorton along the RR tracks (federal or municipal property?), and one at the Court Street school of Rhea.
speaking of throckmorton. there's also one at a run-down shack on Throckmorton.

Here is the rule for public property...You need a permit. When I was running the Little League I had to put up registration signs and had to do them a certain way. I asked ahead of time. That is why I know the rules. Novillero...thanks for the tip. When I had some furniture store going out of business signs planted on my property between the street and the sidewalk during one weekend - the Borough Road Dept. came by on Monday morning to remove them. Political signs are probably a little more touchy. Can you imagine if the Road Dept. was instructed to remove some of Mr. Miller's signs? Either way...right is right and wrong is wrong. Don't want distracted drivers when the kids are out on Halloween. Funny that you didn't notice any Miller signs out of place. And yes, Hank will be getting a call. If I had to do it - everyone has to do it. Political signs are up for a short season. I see no problem with their location, because when you see them once, your next glance will prove that is just that time of year and you probablky won't have to re-read the sign each time you pass a new one. As long as the signs are not around too long after election day, it's just part of politics USA.

Any sign placed on private property must not be between the sidewalk and the street. * safety issue - distracts drivers. * quality of life issue - we don't want it to look like NYC.PEOPLE need to follow all the rules. The ordinance is similar to most other towns. This whole post is funny. Campaign signs can't be between the sidewalk and the curb, but illegal aliens can? up is down and down is up.
