It is time for all residents of our town to look ahead and support the right candidates. Those candidates are not found anywhere in the Democrat party. Our town has been left behind and left out for entirely too long. The Democrats at all levels of government have failed us.
On of the biggest and most recent insults was when our own Mayor we denied what should have been his rightful place on the blue ribbon panel that our Governor put together to address immigration. They are of the same party and our Mayor for all his faults and strengths should have been a shoe in.
Trenton is our biggest problem. We need to send that message loud and clear. It has been very evident in the school funding issues. The Democrats have failed on this and the Republicans deserve a chance to show what they are made of. Freehold Borough residents who went to Trenton were very impressed with Jennifer Beck. She stood out as someone who really wanted to help. Karcher has been a disappointment. This choice should be an easy one for our residents.
At the county level, the Republicans should continue to receive the support of our residents. In the very Republican tradition, our Freeholders have maintained one of the best county governments in the country and the state. The Democrats can not claim that.
Although the Democrats and Asbury Park Press try to paint a certain picture of the Republican incumbents, the facts are on the side of the Republicans. Our county has kept its AAA bond rating, has the best parks, libraries, community college, social services, and a host of other successful departments and programs in place. These factors have played a vital role in keeping Monmouth County listed as one of the best places to live. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Keep the Republicans in power in Freehold.
Last, but certainly not least, we have our local race with candidate Ted Miller. I need not outline what he stands for. Just click on the link at the bottom of my profile, and you will see why we need him. He has been running an aggressive campaign and has reached many, many of our residents. The response is overwhelming. He has put a great deal of time into listening to what people have to say and share his many ideas for our town.
This needs to be the year that Freehold Borough goes GOP. The other party has ignored us for too long. Let's send that message loud and clear on November 6.
