I will chime in with a guess of ....
1,892 voters showed up for this school board election today!
What say your Fellow Freeholder Boro residents.
Best guess wins NOTHING but a "great guess"?

Figfy,
We were numbers 51 & 52 respectively @ 6PM @ District #3. My guess is closer to 1200 voters if you're lucky. There was a lot of competition out there; i.e. income tax deadline (though NJ got another 2 day extension because of the floods) and wet basements. On top of which the borough further flooded the streets with hydrant flushing. They could have postponed that for another week.

Is shoe polish messages on a car a new trend or has all this rain started getting to people? Just noticed this today, do I need to get out a tin of KIWI Black Shoe Polish, and dab out a special catch phrase like " Honk if You'll Fund Me"!

so I guess the answer to the question of this thread is...656...just over a third of what Fiber was hoping for, and just over half of what leelye was figuring...
so the school budget passed...whether or not it's a good thing is up to the individual...but 656 votes? The real winner...once again...was apathy.

Fiber, you're reading the number incorrectly...let me see if I can explain this without confusing myself...
look at the number of budget votes we got, 833 (which seems higher than the numbers we saw last night at Boro Hall, but I could have missed something). That means that 833 people voted on that question, right? Right.
Now, when it came to electing board members, you were allowed to pick up to three people, which means that each of the 833 people could have voted for Audrey, Annette, and Eileen (quick side note - congratulations and welcome aboard Eileen McGough).
So that total you see of 1614 votes does not indicate the number of people who voted, but rather the number of votes that were cast for school board members. In actuality, there could have been 2499 votes for school board members (833 voters, each picking the three candidates for the board...833x3=2499)...but there were write in votes for candidates, and of course many people who either did not vote for three board members (or any at all).
Hope that clears things up.
