Over the past couple of weeks I have heard talk from various and credible sources that Kruise night is not happening this year. I hope that info is wrong, but I am afraid it may not be. I do not know the details, and I do not know why or who is responsible for the demise of Kruise Night, but this is a massive mistake.
Kruise Night has been very good for this town and is one of the most popular events we have. To lose it is an embarrassment.

Well, I guess it wouldn't be another May in Freehold Boro if we didn't start hearing rumors about the demise of Kruise Night.
What is this...the 4th year in a row we've been hearing about this???

I hope you are right and it is just the usual dance. Kruise night is one of the longest running and most successful events in town, second only to the Memorial Day Parade. To lose it would be a black eye and an embarrassment to this town.

I have spoke at great lengths with a few different people and I can understand them being fed up and doing away with Kruise Night. It has to be extremely frustrating to organize events such as Kruise Night, 4th of July Fireworks and Freehold Idol and have other want to steal all the credit. Oh there will be a black eye but the question is, will the proper party be the ones the public associates with the problems here??

I love classic cars too. Especially from the 1930s/1940s. There was a great classic car show last year at the Monmouth County Fair. I took a lot of photos. I'm not sure if this is always a part of the fair -- Brian, do you know that?

Mike, I am not sure who gets the blame, and I don't care. In the end the loss of Kruise Night is a black eye for all of us.
Lisa, Yes, the fair does have a classic auto show each year. I believe it is usually on that Sunday of the fair.

I don't' agree with doing away with Kruise Night as such a huge deal. The Summer Concert series has been very successful, attracts just as many people to our local business and is a VERY family friendly event. I don' t see this as a loss, more of a huge win!!! Truth be told, family events bring in just as much money and is a nice image for the Boro!

I agree with you about the concert series, it has been great and we love it, though me and my wife are not happy with the change in venue. I still think Kruise night is a big loss. It has been here longer than me and I feel it is a part of the Freehold charm that people think of when they think of this town. Its kind of like getting rid of the nice smell of Nestle. It just isn't the same.
