Monmouth County plans budget sessions
The Monmouth County Board of Freeholders has scheduled five public budget sessions to gather information from department heads as well as from Monmouth County residents.
Budget workshop meetings will take place from 1:30-4 p.m. Feb. 19; from 1:30-5 p.m. Feb. 24; and from 1:30-4 p.m. Feb. 26. All three meetings will be held in the conference room on the second floor of the Monmouth County Hall of Records, Main Street, Freehold Borough.
Public hearings on the budget have been scheduled for March. The first will be held at 7 p.m. March 2 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, Symmes Drive, Manalapan, and the second will be at 7 p.m. March 9 at the Eastern Branch Library, Route 35, Shrewsbury.
The public is invited to attend all five of these meetings. There will be one additional public hearing prior to the scheduled budget adoption on March 11.
