Here is an updated on tomorrow evenings Court Street School fund raiser at ZEBU Forno Cafe-Restaurant located on the corner of South Street and Main Street in Downtown Freehold Borough. In case you missed last saturdays "Black History Through Music" event, a number of the performers and artists have agreed to join us at Zebu Forno tomorrow evening! We invite our diverse community to join your friends and neighbors in a relaxed social atmosphere, with a variety of talent celebrating Black History. Starting at 7:00 PM, there will be a host of presenters offering a variety of inspirational readings, poetry, song and music. And remember Zebu Forno will generously donate 20% of your check (*coupon required) to support Freehold Borough's Court Street School Education Community Center. *(cut and paste url in address bar) www.scribd.com/full/26514524?access_key=key-omapt9z7b3nv9cug7gq

Fiber,
Thank you for the update and the reminder. The Court Street School is a great place in the borough and I hope they get the help they need. This event looks terrific and I hope many people show up.
I will be going solo tonight. If any of readers are going and would like some company, let me know.

I have to stop in here and exclaim how outstanding the Court Street School website is. I don't know who created it, but it is magnificent in its presentation, construction and user-friendliness.

The fund raiser for the Court Street School was a booming success. I only stayed for an hour, but people were pouring in and the staff of Zebu had to bring out more tables and chairs. There was a very nice line up of musicians, singers, and poets who kept the mic busy and the audience entertained. IMO, the Court Street school is one of the most under utilized and under appreciated facilities in Freehold Borough. It was very good to see the community come together for a good cause. Speaking of good caused, today is the PAE basket raffle and the K of C Steak dinner. Tomorrow is the Train Display for the Open Door. www.jlmtrains.com/opendoor.htm

About last night.... Said it loud, We are Boro, We are proud! The support was OUTSTANDING, Zebu was a PACKED house last night, the atmosphere was warm and exciting. The "take back" word about last night..., Lets Do It Again! And Mayor Wilson stopped in for a few words, and surprisingly ignited the with a fun rendition of "My Girl", David Ruffin move over...
