Casual is Back in Town

Adoring Fans Across the Nation:

I know that many of you feared a tragic end for the Casual One -- but let your hearts be still. Casual Lives.

And, what is even better news I am a year closer to being a psychotherapist -- I busted my butt last year at the Univ. Of Penn -- I don't think I have ever worked harder in my life and its all so I can psychoanalyze all the loons in Freehold for years to come.

My torrid schedule did not permit me to post much in recent months but words of wisdom will fly off my keyboard this summer.

A couple of quick observations as I review the past week of posts and stories.

*** Reginald Sims -- Give this guy the "CHUTZPAH Award" -- He gets elected in April and resigns in May -- Way to go Reggie!!!!
Then to top it off he promises to run again next year. That is just great -- vote for me again and I will give you 20 days of service on a three-year term.

At least the DeFonzo dude serves his time -- he is hostile to the brown community but at least he shows up.

Isn't this guy related to the current councilman?

*** What can you say about Father Rich Milesewski of Saint Rose?

I have attended St. Rose from time to time when Ms. Casual made me -- because it makes her parents think I am a good guy and that we are against premarital relations.

The only good thing about this guy's sermons is that they were short -- nothing inspirational.

It is a terrible tragedy -- the accusations against Father Rich -- and I can tell you from looking at the research that sexual abuse victims often take years to come to grip with their feelings of helplessness. It is not unusual for this to surface years later.

Sadly, if the charges are true, there are probably many other cases. Pedophilia (or the tendency towards it) must be acknowledged and treated or it will recur frequently. This is where the Catholic Church has failed.

My view as a periodic attendee at mass is that Fr. Rich ran a dysfucntional and segregated parish -- Latinos in one church and everyone else in the other. two churches, two rectories -- no leadership.

The guy replacing him -- Fr. Rocco -- I am confident will provide the same brand of leadership.

*** Mrs. Irizarry and the Freehold Police

As I have noted in the past -- Police here and everywhere must be monitored -- I don't buy that blue code of silence garbage.

They must be held accountable. They serve us -- not the other way around.

They deserve respect but we must demand respect from them as well.

Casually Missing All of You But Happy to be Back

Casual Dude! I was wondering what rock you crawled under. Kidding! It is good to see you back. When you are not inciting or stirring things up, you provide a nice balance of opinion. Diverse opinions are good to have and you do help with that.

As per your thoughts. the Catholic church is in a constant state of sin that it must atone for. I think you and I will agree with that. The abuse issues is one the church has handled very poorly.

The Reggie Sims issue, I am not touching.

Your accusations toward Andrew are unfounded and inflammatory. Unless backing them up, please refrain from that sort of character assassination. It is against site rules.

Your thoughts on the police are broad, but I over all agree with you. Authority can get abused very easily and must be monitored, be it the church, police, or the governing body. AS far as that specific incident, it does appear the police were right and deserve the support of the law abiding citizens of this town.

First point, Andrew is a site participant so I am naturally protective of ALL site participants. I want people to be comfortable here on the site regardless of their views. That goes for CR. Just like people who criticize the council, if there was a specific incident or action that Andrew had done to warrant criticism, then it would be fair game. We all want fairness and to continue building a quality community site where all are welcome regardless of their views.

And let us not forget, there are plenty of positive reflections of the mayor and council. I am surprised at how quick people forget that.

The defense of the police officer by Brian, you lovely Lisa and Seabass is based on little in the way of facts. I see no reason to trust the officer's version more than the woman's version.

What makes you think she is untrustworthy? I have seen some of the names she has been called here -- "troublemaker" etc... -- what has she done to merit such a designation?

The fact is police cover up for each other -- doctors do it. lawyers do it -- psychologists do it. It is the nature of things -- what we need is a process that cuts through the men in blue bs and determines whether a cop acted inappropriately.

They do not deserve blind trust, confidence or allegiance.

By the way, DeFonzo dude has always been antagonistic to the brown people -- you only need to look at his past posts and my frequent debates with him to see that.

I look forward to the race in the fall -- I believe he will be an even worse candidate than Ted "Never Gonna be Councilman" Miller.

I may throw my hat into the ring to oppose him -- I will certainly be commenting on his every move -- I will have a casual spy on every corner analyzing his every pronouncement.

Casual..in response to your above mentioned post on how our defense of the police officer was based on little in the way of facts you are mistaken. I based I disagreeessment of that situation on mainly two things. 1. All the officers involved were thoroughly investigated and cleared of any wrong doing by the County Prosecutor's Office. This also included a complete investigation of all her allegations. 2. I hardly believe that an officer with 15 years of exemplary service one day wakes up and decides that today is the day he assaults a minor 'for no apparent reason'.

In response to them not deserving our trust, confidence or alligence...are you kidding me? They are willing to give their life for your protection any time or day of the week without asking for anything from you. They deserve all the above plus more.

I have read some of your older posts and agree with some of the points you have made. Unfortunately, this will not ever be one of them. The FBPD officers that I have contact with are full of integrity and truly believe they can help the people. These situations/people give the department a bad name. If you can possibly believe this of Sgt. Colaner, maybe you should meet him and ask him yourself. He's one of the best on the department. Then you can form your own opinion.

Does she have a civil suit pending? Was one ever filed?
