It is that time of the year again. The Freehold Center Partnership is calling for volunteers to assist with planting flowers along Main Street.
This will be on Saturday May 23rd at 8 am.
Because of the success in recent years in getting people out for this fun morning, volunteers are asked to meet at Zebu Forno where attendees will be broken up into teams. I understand that refreshments will be served.
I urge readers to consider coming out if they never have. This is a good morning where people can meet fellow residents who care about the town.
Last year we broke the record in how much time it takes to complete the project. Let's do it again.

As always, this was a lot of fun and a good way to spend a beautiful Saturday morning. The turn out of volunteers was strong, as always and Main Street looks better because of it.
For those readers and site participants who were there, it was good working with you again.

I know this is an old thread. I saw the following letter in the New Transcript. I know several FV readers participate in the volunteer planting. It is good to know that people appreciate the work. I also wonder how this will go in the coming year with Jayne gone. I hope they do it again, it is a good time. newstranscript.gmnews.com/news/2009/1014/letters/022.html
