I urge everyone to visit the Monmouth Museum at Brookdale Community College over the next month or so to view "The Exhibit: A Journey to Life", which chronicles the Holocaust from the rise of Adolf Hitler until the Japanese surrender. Additionally, you will learn about other genocides that have taken place, or are currently taking place around the world. The Holocaust exhibit is very impressive. Interwoven with the Holocaust time line are vignettes featuring local Holocaust survivors' chilling stories, authentic ornaments that Jews were required to wear during this horrific movement and informative maps to show the locations of the camps. I admit, I was moved to tears. My wife and I were among 500 or so people who attended the opening yesterday and we are both so glad we did. I strongly recommend this exhibit to everyone. This is another post that I somehow missed whn it came up. I must be slipping.
KA19, thank you for posting. Exhibits like this show us the parts of history that we should never forget. Humans can be so cruel to one another and, as you mentioned, still are doing these same thigns in the world.
When I was in school I took a holocaust class and I have never forgot the lessons or the visuals.
