All of the above articles provide a good insight to the history and events surrounding Olde Freehold Day. The last year we had it was 2005. If memory serves me, we did not get it the following year due to a lack of community groups participation. There was some talk about bringing it back for 2007, but for some unknown reason it never transpired.
Since 2005, we have seen several community events do very well. Now is a good time to bring back OFD. Something like this could really be the centerpiece of all the events in town. Unlike a certain other event that is more niche oriented and has not done well in its four years, this event could and should be a great reflection of all of Freehold. OFD is an event that should bring us all together for the right reasons and make us shine as a town.

At the re-org it was announced that Olde Freehold Day is coming back. Any word?

Jackie, your article is very good with some very good news. Thank you for posting and sharing. This is a good thread for it because of the history of the event documented here. This post goes back to 2009. That year as well as 2010 we had been told of the return of Ole Freehold Day. It is a real shame that it didn't happen either year. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the event is a booming success and returns for many more years. Freehold is long over due for a nice community tradition like this.
