The above poster was sent to via email. It can also be found on the Freehold Center Partnership web site. www.freeholdcenter.com/I believe this is the first year for this event. I see the Center Players are also involved and that should make it that much more interesting. Lets hope this is the first year of a very successful event.

newstranscript.gmnews.com/news/2008/1210/front_page/017.htmlTrolley ride will debut in Freehold BY CLARE MARIE CELANO Staff Writer FREEHOLD — The borough will have a new mode of transportation in place when a holiday Jolly Trolley comes to town on Dec. 13-14. The concept of a trolley ride through the streets of Freehold Borough was brought to the Freehold Center Partnership by Rob Kash, who owns the Metropolitan Café, West Main Street. Kash said he came across the concept while on a family vacation at Hershey Park, Hershey, Pa. "Freehold Borough is an amazingly energetic town whose history, memorable people, unique businesses and sights continually enthrall," Kash said. "The Jolly Trolley combines these elements in a refreshingly interactive way and marks what will be a new annual tradition during the holiday season." A cast of characters will greet people along the trolley route. Kash said he gave Bernice Garfield-Szita, the president of Center Players, the task of putting together the ensemble of character actors who will greet the trolley. "The holiday season in Freehold Borough is always a joyful time shared by our entire community," Garfield-Szita said. "We wanted to enhance the experience by reaching back into our unique history and the colorful characters who lived here, adding a healthy and liberal dash of creative license to bring our stories alive to trolley riders." According to Garfield-Szita, the trolley will stop at Freehold Borough landmarks where characters will hop on and hop off the trolley, telling tales of typical Christmases during their lives in Freehold. Garfield-Szita said actors from the Center Players will portray the roles of fictional and historical characters. Treats will be provided by Olde Monmouth Candies and by Santa Claus as he welcomes guests at the tour's last stop at the Center Playhouse before heading back to the Monmouth County Hall of Records parking lot on Main Street. The 45-minute trolley tours will take place on Dec. 13 at 5, 6:30 and 8 p.m. and on Dec.14 at 4, 5:30 and 7 p.m. To reserve tickets, call 732-462-3584. Garfield-Szita said people can hop on the trolley in the Monmouth County Hall of Records parking lot on Main Street. The cost will be $5 per person. Children age 3 and under will be free. Garfield-Szita said the event is meant to "engage the community and celebrate the uniqueness of Freehold Borough. Really, where else on earth can you get Molly Pitcher, Bruce Springsteen and George Washington all in one place?"

Santa, Molly Pitcher and George Washington coming to Freehold this weekendBy Kim Predham • Staff writer • December 12, 2008 FREEHOLD — Santa, Molly Pitcher and George Washington will be in town this weekend. Freehold's Jolly Trolley Tour will roll into the borough for the first time ever on Saturday and Sunday, one of several holiday events sponsored by the Freehold Center Partnership. The one-hour tours will take guests through town, with stops at borough landmarks like the Covenhoven House. During the tours, characters will join riders to regale them with tales of typical Christmases in the borough through the years, according to organizers. The new holiday event is the brainchild of Metropolitan Cafe owner Rob Kash, who was inspired by a similar activity at Hershey Park in Pennsylvania. The tours will be produced by Bernice Garfield-Szita and the actors at the Freehold-based Center Playhouse. Three tours will be held daily from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Guests begin their journey at Goodfella's restaurant, located at 31 East Main Street. The cost per person is $5. Children aged three and under ride for free. www.app.com/article/20081212/NEWS/81212030/-1/nletter04?source=nletter-breakingnews

Did anyone take a Jolly Trolley Tour?! Apparently, they were all sold out!!! My wife and I did not make it, but, I have some pictures that will be posted on the home pages soon.( pictures compliments of Allan Goldberg from Coachman Studios) And yes, the Trolley was packed! I look very forward to seeing a good article or two in the papers. The event we did attend was the Comcast Concert at the 1st Baptist church. That was really, really good. The Arcadian Chorale and the Freehold band were magnificent together. That event was packed too. ;D

I definitely plan on having fun with that as well. I will post on that seperately when I get it up and running. That will, of course, come with an invitation fro participants to submit their videos. Tasteful ones of course!
