Tell us what you love about this town. Why you moved here. How long you've been here. Why you've chosen to never leave. What makes you proud of this town.

I'm not a Freehold native. My husband worked here and I took a ride with him one day and fell in love with it's charm and hometown character. We took a number of "rides" to really get the feel of the place. I was impressed with what the town offered for kids, and adults. It was close to everything. It was between here and Red Bank. There are so few towns with a Main Street which is what I wanted. It took another few years before we actually moved here though. I always said if I hit the lottery I'd buy one the big, beautiful Victorians that's part of what makes this town what it is. It's changed so much in the time we've been here so it's unlikely I'd buy that Victorian now with lottery proceeds and to me, that's such a shame. I keep hoping things will turn around but one of the threads on this website is about "Apathy" and I feel there is too much of it for anything to turn around. The worst part, I'm slightly resentful of those changes because I love this town, I want to be what it was when I moved here.

Thanks Lisa! I'm trying to navigate this site, trying to catch up where everyone else is!
