If you have received your water bill, you will see a letter from the Freehold Borough recreation Commission. Contained in that is a survey asking for resident feedback. It comes when the Commission is evaluating itself and planning for the recreational needs of Freehold Borough residents.
I ask all readers, please take the time to fill out this survey and send it back with your ideas and input. The Recreation Commission is very receptive to resident concerns and the more they get back, the better they will be able to do for our town.
Also contained in that letter is the announcement that there are two openings on that Commission. Any interested parties should contact borough hall to have their names submitted.
Commissioners are appointed to five year terms. There are seven slots on the Commission.
People should take a strong interest in recreation. It is a very valuable quality of life issue and plays a strong role in building a community.
