Brianna Kane, who will attend Freehold Borough High School in the fall, won first place with her essay on "How To Be a Patriotic Catholic,'' earning an honorary breakfast, a plaque and a $200 savings bond. Also honored for top essays were Gabrielle Klecko and Alexa Basso, second and third places, respectively. The awards breakfast was hosted by the Knights of Columbus on Sunday.
