I can see by the security log that Rich was quite busy today and rightfully so.
I took the liberty of deleting posts with inappropriate language. That includes tactful evasions of the site filter.
Too much garbage has been hitting the site. Ask yourself when you post, would you want your kids to read this?
Multiple names are not acceptable. Pick a name and stick to it. That means a decent name!
I do not like censoring anyone, but the job of admin is to try and protect the site integrity and decency.

Freehold Resident has been given a one week ban for violating the sites rules on posting as another.
His more recent posts bordering on incitement, demonstrating poor taste, and using calculated personal attacks might have warranted a further ban -- and will be watched closely should he return.
Let's keep our cool here people.

No surprise here -- Carla -- and all her fabulous friends of Dorthy were the same poster. That earned her a two week ban for violation of the posting rules.

I have re-instituted the one month ban of misterpr1981. The ban was reduced after one moderator spoke with him.
However, today he violated the posting rules by engaging in personal attacks and character assassination of Casual, Holly, and Ali.

I have re-instituted the one month ban of misterpr1981. The ban was reduced after one moderator spoke with him. However, today he violated the posting rules by engaging in personal attacks and character assassination of Casual, Holly, and Ali. Rich the other reason you omitted was the unwarranted and malicious attack on you. No, I'm sorry, Rich doesn't care about this town.
First, if he cared enough, he would still live here. And he wouldn't badmouth it on a frequent basis, as he does. It's easy to talk about someone or some place when you live in an entirely different state.
For Rich, I'm sorry to say, but it's not about feeding the town, it's about feeding his ego.
Just like this message board, it's the "Rich Kelsey Show." I brought MisterPR back so that he could contribute in a better way. He did not do that and continued on a malicious war path. I had hoped that he would add balance to the site being that he is of the left leaning persuasion. I asked him to be a part of the solution, not the problems. He chose the latter. I expected better from someone who has complained about the site direction, at times rightfully so. The ban will hold for the entire period this time.

I have banned "Concerned" for 3 days -- or until Brian can determine what has transpired with the account, and how the user is posting as a guest. Once that is corrected, the individual is welcome to register -- and post accordingly.

I have banned "Concerned" for 3 days -- or until Brian can determine what has transpired with the account, and how the user is posting as a guest. Once that is corrected, the individual is welcome to register -- and post accordingly. There has certainly been some confusion. To clear this up, Concerned did not post as a guest. That person posted as a registered guest and then deleted his/her account. When that happens, the posts stay, but the screen name then shows up as a guest. This has happened with other participants who deleted their account. Concerned is no different than the many participants before registration became a requirement. All the posts stay, but unless people register or re-register, they can no longer post. Some participants have deleted all of their posts before deleting their account. That is why there is little or no trace of them. This also highlights one of the advantages of this site. People are in control of their own account, barring bad behavior where a moderator has to step in. People can change, delete, or edit their accounts and posts. Former participant Concerned has done just that.

Well, folks, we may have a winner in the who got banned quickest sweepstakes.
One "JuanValdez" name in and of itself is a red flag joined yesterday and posted a truly disgusting comment about one of our well respected posters. The post is left for now so that it can be read and my action understood.
A troll is a troll and I have no tolerance for that. If any of you feel I may have reacted too harshly, please tell me. The majority voice here counts and I will thus un-ban with an apology.
