All I have to say is HOLY CRAP!!!! What about our Kids and Education first? How about Encouraging the state to PONY UP THE VIG FOR SCHOOLS!!!!
WE ALL NEED TO ATTEND these FREEHOLDER MEETINGS!
If they can ask for money for open space, they MUST ask for money to EDUCATE our most precious resource that assures the future of our state, FUND EDUCATION NOW!!!
THANK YOU FOR READING!
Ohhh, plus I heard a comment from a high school friend of one of our Boro's elected officals...I was asked, how the hell and why is Freehold Boro turning into such a dump (I cleaned it up for this posting).
I was shocked and asked that he call up his former classmate and ask him directly!!!

I am surprised to see that this thread just popped up. I went last night to the Freeholders meeting with a friend from town. This friend gave me one of those yellow t shirts that the Borough parents have been wearing. Of course I wore it.
We got to the meeting, and in walked several more yellow shirts and Jim Keelan, the BOE president.
Some of the residents and Jim did speak at the microphone. The Freeholders heard them loud and clear. Our presence was well noted. When the meeting was over, Barham, Cliffton and MacMarrow all greeted us and showed strong support. Many Monmouth county residents did as well.
All in all it was a good showing of our commitment in Freehold Borough to bettering our schools. While I had not met some of those in attendance last night, until last night, these parents who have been making all the noise they have, deserve a great deal of respect.
None of them should have to be put in a position they are in where they have to petition their elected leaders to do the right thing, but they are doing it and doing it well. They should be home with their families, not being put in a position where they are addressing a failed system.
Trenton had better be listening. Election day will be here soon enough.
