Just need to vent! Forgive me. Last night someone came by and slashed the Halloween blow up on our front lawn. These festive things cost $40-$50 or more and make children and adults happy and put them in the holiday spirit.
Sure, mischief has been around a lot longer than these air blown decorations and many a mail box has been "cherry bombed" and many a pumpkin has been smashed in the street, over the years. This is usually the work of teenagers looking for a few laughs at someone else's expense.
All I can say is that smashing as $5 pumpkin is one thing. Damaging a much more expensive lawn decoration is something else. But, what can you do?
Thank god for glue. Though our air blown has been given an ugly surgical scar by the midnight slashers, the glue is holding nicely and Halloween has returned to our front lawn with defiance!
Let's just hope the party poopers or party "poppers" do not return to finish the job, tonight.

Marc, How is your decoration doing? Did it make it through another night? Did any other houses on your block get hit?

It's still stands!!! Mine was the only one attacked. I guess it took a little too long to repave Barkalow Avenue!!! Or, I'm being targeted by the Wall Township Police Department and the IHRAA (the Illegal Home Restaurant Association of America). Marc
