Freehold Raceway will host a series of races in the Mildred Williams International Charity Driving Series on Wednesday, May 16. The races will consist entirely of licensed female drivers who will be raising money for The Children’s Miracle Network.
The drivers will be donating their winnings to the charity.
The charity will also be accepting donations from patrons in attendance, with those donating $ 2.00 or more being given a complimentary Freehold program.
The Children’s Miracle Network – the alliance of premiere hospitals for children - is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for 170 children’s hospitals throughout North America.
In addition, the women drivers earn points throughout the series with possibility of competing in the series finale on November 4 at the Hippodrome de Montreal.
The series is named in honor of a female pioneer (Mildred Williams) in the sport.
