While I think this letter deserves little attention, I post it anyway. My feeling when I saw the headline was, why is anyone bringing up immigrants again? It's just more bad publicity, but then I saw who wrote it, and then I read it and saw the venom contained in it. It wasn't a letter about law abiding immigrants, it was a personal letter aimed at individuals. Mr. Baldwin didn't even bother to write it addressing readers of the paper, he wrote it to specifically address Joan Kelly (note how he wrotes the word "you" several times). This man's agenda is very personal. newstranscript.gmnews.com/news/2007/0627/Letters/061.html

Baldwin seems to be nothing more then simple-minded delusional fool who is filled with hate and radical ideology that has no respect for the law or the residents of Freehold Borough.
He was responding to Ms. Kelly’s letter, why did he feel the need to take a poke at Brian and even more disturbing, why did the News Transcript print it.
As I have said before. The News Transcript is a waste of a tree.
This is one more vote of confidence for the Chief Mitch Roth from a dim bulb. I’m starting to wonder.

He uses the sword of racism to slash at opponents of the illegal invasion. It's who he is, and it is all he knows. But he and his band of have been very successful to date.

There are people I admire when I hear them reminisce about living thought the depression, growing up poor, stretching the 5 cent loaf of bread, and walking 10 miles in a blizzard to school, I respectfully listen to folk who talk of the 1950's,the Eisenhower years, when TV was good, kids could play outside in the streets in safety, people never locked theri doors, moms stayed home making apple pie, and the threat of Pinko Commies from Russia kept you well aware of were the local Fallout Shelter was. And just like some former hippies and peaceniks from the 60's rand about that first Banana Flavored Bamboo , the bad TRIP at Woodstock, and how cool Mauie Wowie was (or wtill is in some cases) ,....Mr Baldwin is caught up in the notion that the Civil Rights March in Selma Al and the Cause for which MLK died for, is related to Undocumented, Illegal, felonious, tax cheating 3rd world criminal, lawbreakers. TB Makes me think of two passages from the NT (not the News Tanscript) Luke 23:34 Luke 23:35 His hart is in the right place; just sorry to see his logic so contorted! And now I must go pull Fiber in my basement Fallout Shelter…!

This may be a bit controversial for those religious folks in support Immigration Amnesty, however..... please read NUMBER 10!!!!....Translation.....Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's (goods) house or fields, nor his ox or ass, or anything that belongs to him. See ........ We, the United States of America, are neighbors to Mexico, who's citizens COVET our way of life....so much so, the come here illegally have anchor babies and gainfully TAKE material benefit from the people and government thy Covet. This violates quite a large number of Commandments and biblical laws. What a great lesson in Morality.
and now...... you know the rest of the story!

god bless Mr. Baldwin for having the stomach to speak up for the meek who inherit the earth!
This man stands alone for one reason, he is the loan voice for those who do not speak good English none.
All yous are quick to cut this great freeholder off by the knees. I wonder how many more Mr's Baldwins there are in this Boro, that are silent, afraid to speak out because Ms. Kelly and her hateful followers look to foil the rights of emigrants who are no different from our aunts sisters who came here before us.
My aunts sister gave birth to me weeks after my uncles father marred her before leaving the streets of Montevideo. My Fathers Uncles Cousins Kids all came here are young uneducated peasants.
My Aunt and her sisters work hard, many days and many hours every day, reading palms on the boardwalk for many years. you would be surprised by the unsanitary conditions. My father and Uncles with my Cousins Kids are all freelance independent auto body repair works and dent pullers in many of the shopping center parking lots in three of the 21 new jersey counties.
This reality is my families American dream, we work like no other Americans work like. Mr. Baldwin understands our plight, he feels like us, he knows about our hunger, and we all came from the same hungriness.
We are one world, one people called humans, we are dark skinned, light skinned, brown eyes, blue eyed, green eyed, blue green eyes, green brown eyes, long hair, no hair, we have vagina's, we have thingy's and bleed red and pee yellow like Mr. Baldwin .
We, like Mr. Baldwin, are seeking our share of the most, the goodest quality of life all American enjoys. Why do we all not laugh and love each other.
Keep up the encouraging inspiration you are the mentors mentor so many here in Freehold Boro welcomes.

I believe the above poster was a prankster, but sadly it wasn't very funny (he couldn't even get his jokes right - His aunt's sister married his uncle's father (he should have written his "uncle's brother") - therefore, his mother married her own father.) That post was a waste of his time, and ours. Oh well...
by the way, is Tom Baldwin a freeholder, in the older use of the word?

.....Quasimodo is captured and flogged for his crime, whereupon Esmeralda shows him kindness by offering him water. He reciprocates when Esmeralda, framed on a murder charge by the obsessed Jehan (if he can't have her, no one can), is sentenced to be hanged. Quasimodo grabs a rope and swings down from the towers of Notre Dame, rescues Esmeralda from the gallows, and carries her into the church, shouting "Sanctuary! Sanctuary!"
All Mr. Baldwin asks is that we echo that same kindness as Quasimodo,
Please try show kindness it goes much further. Lets treat our guest workers better than gypsy's, after all, we are better than and capable of being more civilized that the white flag waving, frog munchers (The French), regardless of the Century.
Mr. Mayor and Council, do not be Cruel Claude Frollo's, please show more kindness, I have a HUNCH you can, so please ring the bells Sanctuary! Sanctuary!Sanctuary! .....Join us with the cry...Sanctuary! Sanctuary!Sanctuary! Sanctuary.........do not let your bell clappers sit idle or they will shrivel up into useless silent appendages !!!

Quasimoto applies for a job as sexton at a church, although he has two broken arms from an accident. When told he would have to ring the tower bell, he said he could do it, climbed the tower, and ran headlong into the bell, producing a mellow sound (on the bell, that is). He was stunned, fell from the tower, and was pronounced dead on arrival. The coroner asked the passtor if he could identify the deceased and responded, "No, but his face surely does ring a bell."

The next day, Quasimoto's twin brother applied for the same job, went through the same routine, with the same results, and in response to the Coroner's question, the pastor said, "No, but he is a dead ringer for his brother."
Thanks Druell, your an inspiration!!!

Mr. Sabia is a long-time letter writer. He is a very nice man. he actually became the step-father of one of my best friedns growing up. His points are excellent -- and of course lost on Tom Baldwin -- who either cannot understand them, or refuses to consider them.

newstranscript.gmnews.com/news/2007/0725/Letters/034.htmMr. Sabia is a long-time letter writer. He is a very nice man. he actually became the step-father of one of my best friedns growing up. His points are excellent -- and of course lost on Tom Baldwin -- who either cannot understand them, or refuses to consider them. Rich, I couldn't agree with Mr Sabia more! I do not know him or of him other than reading his logic leveling letter! I wonder why the legal and native Hispanics living here in Freehold Boro and through out Monmouth County are not vocal and engaged with groups like You Don't Speak For Me? dontspeakforme.org/You Don't Speak For Me offers balance and support to the majority of Hispanic's I know, who are embarrassed, offend and out raged. What I hear is heavy opposition to illegal immigration groups that demand what they have not earned, attempting to bulldoze unlawfulness into "Reich"ous entitlements for the undeserving. Giving a path to citizenship for felons mocks the debates on reparation for African Americans. As I do not agree with this notion of reparations, I agree that the reparation debate is valid. The fact that amnesty for felons has gotten so much time for debate, is an insult to all Legal Americans who need their government to focus on their issues. Lower Taxes, Schools, Economy. The Immigration debate and the War on Iraq to some degree, have served nothing more than to be avoidance behavior tools for a do nothing Congress and administration....(IMO) Why is there even a debate? We have great immigration laws that the rest of the world envies. The debate must center on why there is no enforcement, and how can reconcile porous border's, not allowing our social services to be taken advantage of and abused by criminals! Look how this Boro is suffering. THE CURRENT DIRECTION OF THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION DEBATE IS OFF BASE AND OFF TARGET!
