Nominations sought for Freehold honors
The Freehold High School Hall of Fame is committed to recognizing and honoring graduates of Freehold High School, Freehold Borough, who have distinguished themselves in a variety of fields (excluding athletics) and have proven to be positive role models to current high school students. Past honorees include sculptor Jim Gary, television and Broadway star David Garrison, and vocalist Juanita Baskerville Brown.
Anyone who knows of a Freehold graduate who meets the criteria may send that person's name, year of graduation and a brief explanation of their career achievements to Susan Shrott, Freehold High School, 2 Robertsville Road, Freehold 07728. The person who is nominating a graduate must include their name and a contact number.
The committee is also seeking the names of staff members who worked at Freehold High School for 25 or more years for inclusion in the Quarter Century Club. Please send the names, years of service, job titles and dates of employment to the address above. All information must be received by Sept. 1.
