The new Barbecue/ bakery on Main is now open. They said they have been open for four days. The wife and I were in town and ate somewhere else because we did not realize that La Perrillo was open.
We did stop in to get a menu. They have delivery and take out for those lazy nights.
We talked with the owners and they were really nice. They gave us free samples from the bakery and it was delicious. Free food is always a way to butter me up!
Looking at the menu it was regular barbecue fare and the prices looked very reasonable. When talking to the owner it appears they have done their homework and will be able to cater to a variety of people based on both taste and budget.
We will be back to check that place out.

I not know the facts of why, but it appears that La Perrillo is no more. There is a new eatery advertising a grand opening at that location. I do not recall the name, but it is another Latino establishment.
I am surprised that La Perrillo is no more. It was not a bad place and catered to a variety of people. The owners were really good. it appeared to have people in it most of the time.
I will, of course, check out the new place.

I was at La Parilla a few times. The chicken was bit dry, although the prices were pretty good. They opened with a lot of pastries, etc, but each time I went there, less and less was available. Perhaps funding was an issue.
Has anyone been to the other BBQ spot where the Quiznos was?

FYI, La Parilla was open on Sunday. The hispanic music store, etc., across the street closed though.

That is a surprise about the music store. There was always people in there.
I have to make clear, I might be wrong about La Parrilla. I could swear that they had a banner across the store sign saying something about new ownership or grand opening. I usually only see that when a store changes hands. Now the banner is gone so I am questioning what I thought I saw.
