I am excited about this too. When I heard the rec committee talking about it, I thought it would be a great idea at a great location.

I received a request to update and correct some information from this thread.
For what ever reason, Frankie Bell is NOT performing at this event. That is a bummer, and we will all have to catch up with her at another time. I deleted all other references in this thread about her participation.
Of course, the show still goes on and all resident are invited and encouraged to come out and enjoy a Sunday afternoon listening to some great blues and Jazz music.

I could not make it to the show yesterday. I have heard that the music was great, but the turn out very low. If that is the case, it is a real shame. This show was a great idea.
I hope that the Recreation Commission, and who ever else is involved with this, are not discouraged and run another blues/jazz show in the future.
Events can be tricky. Sometimes they do very well, and other times they do not. There can be no defining reason for it.
