I think this should be a new thread dudes and dudettes.
Here is my first submission to the Freehold Borough Poetry Thread. I am expanding beyond the Mayor Mike poems, although his leadership is inspiring.
I call my next poem simply -- "Freehold Borough Haiku"
Freehold Borough a part of Mexico, everyone diverse and dreamy
As raindrops fall and I sit in front of the boob tube with my girl -- she is reading some magazine -- I will be drafting poetry for the borough and people I love.

OK
There once was a Mayor named Mike Who's town had sidwalks full of men on Bikes When complaints came to the council This government body chose not to hassel They all explained that even on the sidewalks, appling state vechile code 39:4-1x simply BITES!
A bicyclist has all of the rights and duties applicable to the driver of any other vehicle by the laws and regulations of this state governing the movement of vehicles.
The following states include "bicycle" in the definition of "vehicle" and prohibit vehicle use of sidewalks: Indiana, Nevada, New Jersey, and North Dakota. Arguably, all sidewalk cycling is unlawful.

People across the Boro With faces full of sorrow The schools are in anguish Because of the voter’s marrow
They twice defeated a referendum Seeking to prevent their doom Now they will show their young Once again they are buffoons
They blame Mexican for overcrowding They want the brown out of the schools They don’t want them dreaming They prefer to see them leaving
Now that cuts loom in the horizon They are appalled at their situation But they should save their indignation These cuts are due to their inaction
