Freehold Community Counseling Service and the Freehold Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, will offer residents of Freehold Township and Freehold Borough free, anonymous screenings for alcohol problems.
Alcohol use and abuse are associated with personal, family, legal, social, medical, employment and financial problems. In addition to the problem drinker, the impact of these problems can have a devastating effect on the lives of several other persons.
To provide a service to the residents of Freehold Township and Freehold Borough, the Freehold Community Counseling Service and the Freehold Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, will offer free, anonymous screenings for alcohol problems.
These services are being offered each Monday, Wednesday and Friday in April starting April 2, 2008. The screening schedule will be Monday 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, Wednesday 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Friday 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Screenings will be provided at the Freehold Community Counseling Service, 30 Jackson Mills Road, Freehold, and NJ.
This screening is for adolescents or adults, participants will meet with a substance abuse professional, who will conduct the screening and discuss the results and provide referral assistance when necessary. Consultation for family members concerned with the use of alcohol by a loved one will also be available.
Pre-registration is not necessary but it is suggested that interested individuals call in advance. For further information call the Freehold Community Counseling Service at (732) 409-6260 and ask about the screening program.
