My neighbor has just informed me that there was a home burglary on Reidway this afternoon. It happened during the afternoon, while the owner was at work. The criminal got in through a basement window and stole cash and jewelry. The owner arrived home as the criminal was fleeing, and the owner said the criminal looked like a teen.
Stay vigilant in your neighborhoods, everyone. Look out for each other and report all suspicious activity to the police.

I do not know if this is related to Ka19's post but...... www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080222/NEWS/80222025FREEHOLD — Police arrested a borough man on a drug charge, but when they took him into custody, they realized he also had a stolen bracelet on him, authorities said. Jose Villanueva, 20, of Bennett Street, Freehold, was arrested Thursday for possession of crack cocaine, but then police found a tennis bracelet on him, said Lt. Mark Wodell. Police said they determined that bracelet was stolen from an Avenue A home that was burglarized on Feb. 13. In that case, an iPod, cell phone and credit cards were also taken, said Wodell. Police said they are investigating the possibility that the 20-year-old acted as a look-out during the burglary. Additional charges of conspiracy to commit burglary and possession of stolen property were filed against Villanueva, who was being held this morning in the Monmouth County Jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $75,000 bail.
