Hopefully, our new community relations committee will help with this. They are only a 2nd ordinance reading away from being official. Some of them already post here, so they'll be reading your post. Thanks LS.

LS,
I have seen a couple of those sites, but a couple were new to me. You are right, there is some terrible bashing going on. And you are right, some of us should monitor those sites and try to help our town's image a bit more.
As per what Marc, said, the Community Relations Committee had better understand just how powerful and relevant the INTERNET is today. That should not go unrecognized.

Interesting find on Topix. www.topix.net/forum/city/freehold-nj/T9VOTELITOQM1IP8KSomeone names Zeus posted on May 1 about the LeVine incident....... almost two months after the fact. Makes one wonder what the purpose of doing that would be other than to incite. I guess every open forum is bound to attract bottom feeders.

Sure...blame poor Zeus for everything. Lives in Marlboro, hmmm? Obviously he/she fully understands Freehold Borough resident's issues...
...but, the the thought of having to cut his/her own grass!
One important point, Brian ...look again... He/She posted on "March 1, 2007" not on May 1st as you thought.

Thanks LS. Marc A reader of this site was reading the recent posts about the community information committee and sent me the following email.tough uphill battle on the issue of PR for the boro: www.city-data.com/forum/new-jersey/108053-looking-perfect-neighbourhood-please-help-2.htmlThere clearly is a great deal of work for the new committee. In the mean time, I urge all readers of this site to go to these other forums that are posted here and defend our town. I know I will.

Yes, you can see why I am not going to post pro-Freehold there anymore: it quickly becomes being on the defensive.

Novillero: Ah, so you are weak? You capitulate so easily when there is a tide of negativity? That's just so valiant -- obviously I am being sarcastic. Freehold Borough does not need defeatists, a meekly following herdsmember. I therefore surmise you don't have what it takes to be a leader. A leader takes balls, and I surmise you likely have a wife that snipped yours. umm... welcome to the board?

Nov--
Why would you assume that she wants a man?
Not to say she doesn't..she's not gay...but why make the assumption but she could just as well be either?
As far as I'm concerned, the man would want HER, not her wanting the man. And anyway, I'm sure she doesn't NEED a man to want her...
With those points made.......I'm going back to eating dinner...

The proper place for a donation would be either the Borough library, or the archives of the Monmouth County Historical Association (who have an extensive Freehold collection). By ordinance, the Historic Preservation Advisory Commission is NOT a repository for artifacts, memorabilia or ephemera, nor do they have a mandate to establish or maintain such a collection. hth- cheryl (former member of the FBHPAC)

Yeah..no...He was asked politely to donate it for historical purposes, and instead he made a wiseass remark about living in New Jersey and told us he was just going to sell it. It's clear as day he was only looking to make a dime and doesn't really give two you know whats about Freehold or anyone on this board, so why stick up for him?
Call me whatever you want but that's shady...
